Elder Ultra on 'Lessons with the Spirit'.....

"Missionary work is fun, rewarding, satisfying and full of miracles. I reflected on my mission so far and how much fun I’ve had. I can tell you the details of the moments that were so fun in my mission but for the not so happy ones, I can honestly say that I don’t remember much of it. It is primarily the spirit that helps me remember the good things that happened. Something that I’ve learned and studied and experienced is that feelings of the spirit stay with you always. And when the Spirit draws away, it’s hard to do missionary work and have fun. Everything about missionary work must be done in the Lord’s will and how do you do this? We do it be being worthy of the Holy Ghost to communicate his will to us. When we do that, we do fun missionary work that is very gratifying." Thanks for the insights Elder Ultra. You are 'spot on'.

Sister Ultra follows in her brother's footsteps....

Months ago, Sister Ultra made a lifechanging decision. She would leave her job and those she loved to follow in her brother's footsteps by deciding to serve a mission. She has prepared well and we know she will be amazing as she serves in the Philippines. We will all miss you so much Kathleen. Hoorah for Zion!!!!

Elder Scarlett in Slave Lake

Elder Scarlett has been transfered to Slave Lake. It was hard for him to leave his previous area but he looks forward to serving and getting to know a new area. Here are his latest pics. Notice Sister Wotherspoon in his 'group' shot.

Elder Udani is persevering....

Elder Udani is doing well so far. He is 'sweating alot' and 'beating off dogs with rabies.' You just never know what a mission has in store for you....

Elder Ultra is doing well.....

UPDATE ON KEN!... So my week has been pretty good. I have discovered a new sport that I enjoy very much that we play almost every P-day. As a matter of fact, we are going to play with our Zone Leaders today. Freezby Golf is the name of the sport. We have a park in the middle of our area and its free. All you need is a freezby.

Missionary work wise, it's pretty awesome. I love my area so much because I just know that when I wake up, I know that we will be helping out someone understand the Gospel and receive the blessings thereof.

So i am definitely excited for you! I want to tell you so many things concerning missionary work, advices, and all that jazz but just can't do it through e-mail. I hope you know that you are always in my prayers and that our HF is always mindful of you!

I love you so much!
Take care always, Ate.

Sister Sloan and General Conference

Well, Temple Square is unlike any other mission. Sister Sloan saw half of her YSA friends at the beginning of April. It was quite a fun experience to see many, many familiar faces at every turn.

Sister Ultra's 'last days'.....

Sister Ultra is preparing to leave for the Philippines in just over a week now. She is enjoying all of her preparations and last night, we enjoyed a 'farewell' party hosted by her wonderful parents & family. There was delicious food, visiting with friends and, of course chatting with the 'future missionary'. (Did I mention delicious food....????)
